Detailed Description
Arbomast General Purpose one part oil based mastic 380ml
Arbomast GP is a One-part Oil Based Sealant intended primarily for general pointing and sealing of many joints in traditional forms of construction. It forms a skin, but the bulk of the material remains plastic beneath the skin.
Main Application
Recommended for perimeter sealing of timber frames and sealing of joints formed between preformed concrete panels e.g. in garage construction. It is not recommended for use in movement joints subject to high degrees of movement, expansion joints, use in internal situations and use against natural stone.
Application Instructions
Joint preparation
The joint surfaces must be clean, dry and free from all contamination. The surfaces should be degreased using the appropriate Arbo Cleaner. Although Arbomast GP has exceptional adhesion to many common building materials and will not in most cases require primer, friable or brittle surfaces
will need priming with Arbo Primer 925.
Joint Backing
Where applicable, appropriate joint filler e.g. closed cell polyethylene foam, should be used to provide the correct joint depth.
Application
Arbomast GP is supplied in cartridges and can be applied into the joint using an Arbo Caulking Gun.
All joint preparation, priming, and sealant application should be carried out in accordance with BS
8000 Part 16, the British Standard for the sealing of joints in buildings using sealants.
